Lately i've just been really down.. my boyfriend does nothing to upset me but i blow up at him for no reason.. everyone is just annoying me... and even when i'm alone im just in such a bad mood. And its not only anger.. i've just been really depressed.

Can anyone tell me an affordable way to get happier.. like good "happy music"... or some good food or something.

and please, no sarcasm. i really don't need it.

Well, you're going to laugh, but I recomend taking a good ten to fifteen minutes every day and meditating.

This does not mean you have to 'sit like this' or 'that', or start worshiping cows or anything.

But take some time to step away from all the noise, distractions and stress and just get intouch with yourself. I know it sounds crazy, but it's easy and normal to occasionaly loose track of who we are and what we want and why.

All you have to do is sit comfortably, close your eyes, breath deeply and clear your mind of all the clutter. Then concider what is bothering you or what you think may be bothering you, without the distraction of all the pent up emotions attached to them.Once you've done that, you'll have an easier time seeing why you're feeling this way and then you can resolve the problems.

Self-analysis and theripy are free and almost anyone can do them. Some people are nuts, but you don't seem to be one of them.

I know exactly how you are feeling and I like to call it the slums. No one really didnt anything wrong but nobody is really doing anything right either. I seem to be able to pop myself out of it with a warm bubble bath or to cook something .. it doesnt really matter what you cook just turn on some funky music nothing depressing and cook something .. you can try it ..good luck and hey if you ever need anyone to talk to .. i seem to be a good listener :)

i like the meditation idea...it's hard for me to just sit quietly though and not think about what is bothering me. What I find to be better is to blast happy music (no emo or break up songs, just stuff with an upbeat that you really enjoy)...sing along or don't sing along...and stretch.

I feel it helps me to not think about whatever im cranky about because im too busy listening or singing and stretching gives you an endorphin kick which will elevate your mood.

maybe its time for a physical. everything is checked, blood pressure, blood, urine, pap test etc. along with physical, you can also tell doctor how you have been feeing lately. you should also have mentioned age too. that might help answering your question.
