the amount of tip depends on the price of the service-generally 15-20% is good....even if it is like a super cheap supercuts haircut though I woudn't leave under $5. if it's a high end salon they are spending more time on you so be generous...if you feel it deserves more than the 15-20% than go ahead, but standard is fine. in higher end salons they do have other people shampoo you or maybe even blowdry-for shampoo like $3-5 is good. If 2 different people cut and style you-just kinda break up the price of the service-and tip them each their %

I always tip my barber between $3-$5. Some places they work for tips. Other places they don't . Either way if you get your hair cut regularly by the same person I'm sure any tip would be appreciated.
