I want to go from medium reddish/brown to dark brown. I bought "Sable Cove", shade #48. I just want to know if you think it is a good dye, and if you think it will work. I'm not asking for advice on the color change. Thanks in advance!

Clairol is a great company- they make Herbal Essence. How well it takes depends on your hair color, and how much processing you have previously done.

It so depends on your hair, but in my experience, this one of the only hair dyes that did not work for my hair. I like Clairol, but the Hydrience just didn't work. My hair is strawberry blonde and usually takes all color very well. Good luck!!
