I don't have a phone jack near the receiver and want to know what I can do to get around the phone line issue. I can spread a phone line across the room to hook it up every once in a while but don't want it strung across the living room all the time.

unless its something new, just leave it disconnected. I used to have dish network and had the same problem, so i just left it disconnected and never had any problems. the only time I needed it was for getting pay per view channels (which I rarely watched).

I bought a wireless phone line a while back. It comes with a transmitter and a receiver. Even though when I connect a phone on the receiver it works, somehow it never worked with my Dish set-top box. But you may have a better luck.

yeah, right. there is a way, but not from me. reroute the line or pay for the service.
