There is this guy i used to have a thing with. I haven't talked to him in a while, because he ahs been in NC. I really cared about him. He called me every night for 2 months and we would talk for hours adn never ran out of things to say. then he ended things. i can't listen to my fave song anymore, because it was the 1st song we danced to, the song he asked me out during, "our song". then he called me a week ago to tell me that he is moving to north carolina permanently. i cried after we got off the phone. then he called me tonight. he told me why he ended things...he and his p-rents were fighting, and he didn't want me to get dragged into it...i told him how i was feeling, and somewhere in the process we both cried... we got off the phone a while ago, and i am still sobbing. why does it still hurt so much? how can it stop? i love him, but living 6 states apart would not work. plz help me! he feels the same, but we don't know what to do.

First of all, you shouldn't be sad. You should feel lucky that you have a connection that is passionate and you both feel the same about each other. Focus on what can be possible and not on what can't be possible. Yes, there is a distance challenge. Yes, it will be difficult in the beginning, but how bad do you want this guy. If you want it bad enough, then there is always a possibiltiy that it will happen. Are there job opportunities for you where he lives?? Are there job opportunities for him where you live?? What kind of careers do you both want for yourselves?? If either one of you decide to move it might be difficult in the beginning, but the most important part is that you will be together. Together I'm sure you two can find a way. Together two people that really care for each always find a way. Love is magnificient, love conquers all, love always finds a way!!! Good Luck and keep the faith and you both will figure out a way to make it work and then you can look back and appreciate the hard work that made it possible. Everyday you wake up keep telling yourself that you will find a way and eventually before you know it you will....

I'm so sorry. I went through this a few years ago. You sound young and the long distance thing does not usually work. It sounds like he prob misses you too and maybe is just saying that he did not want to drag you into his parents mess to save face, and keep you from thinking he is a jerk for ending things the first ime so fast. A good friend pointed out to me once that the reason that those great love songs, or most songs for that matter are so touching is because everyone goes through heartaches and hurt and can relate...

Fist of all, calm down. He is still in the same country and it's not like either of you have terminal cancer and 3 months to live. Stop being so melodramatic and grow up. Of course it can work. I have been in a long distance relationship for 3 years to my now fiance. so Paaaliiiz, enough with the snivelling already. maintain contact and make plans to visit one another whenever you can. Have you ever heard of plains, trains and other means of transport? If you are meant to be, this will work out. One word of advice, though; it's easy to fall in-love with a fantasy and from a distance. The real test comes when you both live together day in and day out. Then we shall see if this true love stands the test of reality.
Good luck,

In my experience the best thing you can do is start dating. You will soon forget about him. I have a website that you can meet others on and try to start the process of getting over him. It is http://personaldatefinder.diydating.com You can meet and talk to other guys.

Fighting with his parents? You couldn't possibly be this naive, could you? When has a guy's parents kept him away from a woman he wanted--never.
