Well Lulu you are definitely on your way because you do have the first theory down. first you must see then,- say it,- then believe it.

Words have sound power. Have you ever heard that if you say something enough you can make it happen. Look in the mirror every morning and with conviction say "Every day in every way I get better and better".

Affirmation also work with you based on how you feel about something. Your Affirmation will have more convictions and meaning if they are built around what you feel and experienced. So sit down one day and make a list of things you notice that makes you insecure and then write another list of things that make you feel joyous and balanced : This is also apart of you building up your confidence.

Affirmations are short and direct: ie:" I am beautiful!" "I am liked by all" I have wonderful and lasting friendships . these are to be said not only in the morning and at night but straight thru out the day. Especially thru those low period.

Remember Rome was not built in a day and if you are serious about building your self confidence you are going to have to work at it.

I send healing energy towards you, I believe that you can do it.
keep me posted/if you would like to talk you can email me.

make affirmations in the positive and present tense....

ie
Today I am worthy of love.
I am kept safe in the nurturing arms of the earth
It is safe for me to venture out into the world
I am a good friend and neighbour
I achieve the goals I set for myself
It is safe for me to be myself.
I accept love into my life
Life gives me all I need
I am stronger, slimmer, smarter than ever before
My love is a precious gift I give willingly to those who deserve it
I like who I am and feel comfortable in my own skin.

even if you think what you say is a lie by saying it over three times on three occasions each day it will become the truth.... your energies will be focussed on making it truth..

Just pick one affirmation at a time and say it three times on three occasions every day for three months then choose a new affirmation....

Make up an affirmation that says what you want yourself to be... use words that make you feel strong and capable and make you feel good about the possibilities.

Affirmations, or as I prefer to call them, Verbal Remedies work by enacting your creative visualization. The way to write and recite your own precision affirmations is to make your statements: Positive, Present, Personal and Specific. Here are some useful resources for getting your mind around your own verbal remedies: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/verbal-remedies.html

Reading this webpage is better than thousands of affirmations. Also gives you things to do that work much better than affirmations. Why is that?? Actions speak louder than words. Talk is cheap. I have a huge amount of self-esteem and YOU WILL TO IF YOU WANT TO.

I believe the best way to feel good about yourself is to accomplish a goal that you have set for yourself - especially one that you don't really want to do. Even if it's something simple, like cleaning the house, it makes you feel better that you were able to get it done.

Start each morning with this:

"Heavenly Father, divine Mother,
let all those who are my own come unto me.
Finding them, may I perfect our friendship.
Find friendship in all,
and thus, may I find thee."

Namaste, my friend.

"I'' statements are one-line statements that can be repeated to cover three areas:
I am: A statement of who you are/ I am competent. I am confident.
I can: A statement of your potential/ I can succeed
I will: A statement of positive change in your life/ I will be calm.
