It takes time for your bodies cells to re hydrate themselves. There really is no cure for a hangover, except time. And drink alot of water to re hydrate your self. If you know you are going out to drink take a vitamin and a good dose of vitamin C, I do this just to help my body fight sickness. Although the best bet is to not drink at all right?

They will last as long as you don't do anything about it. You dehydrate while drinking alcohol. Take a 1/2 glass of water between every 2-3 drinks to keep you hydrated and you'll out last they party animals. But remember Eat a good healthy meals with some fat and carbs to absorb the alcohol while at the party before you go.
If you tend to get dehydrated, try some tomato juice which is high in fructose to get you going. Aspirin is good also. But only time, sleep and rehydrating yourself is the only remedy. Drink modrately and responsibly. Save a life, don't drink and drive.

Yes, they can. I've had one last 3 days, no joke.

Besides the obvious intake of Gatorade to replenish your electrolytes and rehydrate your body, the following is a good remedy to make you feel a little better and recuperate faster:

Ingredients:
Juice of 1 lemon (or 1oz lemon juice)
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Preparation:
Squeeze the juice of the lemon into a 10-oz. glass. Add maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Fill with ice water. Stir. Drink.

I've also heard of people adding cranberry juice to this mix to give is a little more "zest"..

Hangovers are caused by drinking so much alcohol you get dehydrated trying to flush it out. So yeah, if you don't DRINK WATER, you will stay hung over until you do. Nutrients/electrolytes are good too. I like vitawater. And btw, if you chug some water before falling asleep after drinking you'll decrease your chances of a hangover.

hangovers vary from person to person. 1, depends on how much you drink, 2 depends on how often you drink, 3 depends on WHAT you drink i.e. beer gin, rum, etc. 4 depends on body weight. the bigger you are the more alcohol you can consume, if you weigh 120 pounds then you will probably get drunk real easy, or if you are like me, large and lovely, lol it takes a lot to get me buzzed. and 5 it depends on if you ate while you drink cause eating cuts down somewhat on the affects of alcohol, on some people not everyone.

The next day is the worst and then it gets better. Depends on how much you drink, if you drink water while you are drinking the hangover is not as bad.

The average liver can process out only 1 oz of alcohol per hour. Recovery time will depend on the actual amount of alcohol consumed. (and on New Years some people consume a LOT !)

yes, if you drink enough they can last several days and it depends on how long it takes your body to recover, you usually dehydrate from drinking and some people are drug sensitive and alcohol is a drug and the body does not tolerate it very well

Depends on liver function...hydrate with gatorade, because not only have you dehydrated yourself, you've depleted all of your electrolytes which your body needs for cardiac and other organ functions...
