Do you think he thought of his time in terms of "years"?

I think that he must have been confused about the date always, and probubly asked himself things like ( is it the year 25 before me?), ( or is it after me? )

Good question. He would have probably followed the Jewish calender. It would have been around 3700, but I don't know for sure.
