The boy I am in love with, and probably marrying, loves my cookies. So I was thinking of giving him a book/box full of recipes of his favorite cookies. Good idea, or not?

If it were me, I would not like the idea. What I would like better, would be for you to bake a whole plate full, or better yet, a whole basket/bucket full of your cookies.

In my experience, boys would not like to receive a recipe book.

I would just suggest baking him some of his favorite cookies - I think it is a cute idea, but as my mom always said, a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Unless your man truly loves to bake, chances are he would never open the cookbook/recipe box until after you were married at which time he would point to the recipe he wants you to make. I myself just recently got engaged and know from experience men prefer cooked food as gifts rather than food they have to prepare. Good Luck - and if you do decide to do the book or box, make it manly - wood or leather perhaps

Well with marrage comes kids, so make him a cook book of practical recipies that you both like. That way when you are tied down with a baby he can make you dinner. Add a few more kid freindly things too. Pigs in a blanket and other finger foods.

I don't think it's a good idea. You make them for him. That'll be one of your "secret weapons". Let him enjoy them because you & only you make them the way you do. Instead, give him a box full of those cookies!

I would say no. Unless he really really likes to cook.

Just make him some of your cookies.

I did make a book of my recipes for my cousin for christmas last year and she loved it.

I would say to only give him the recipes only if he really loves to cook.
