My boyfriend and I like to cuddles and such, but the other day when I ased him a question, he said no. He claims that the reason why he said no is because he is to fat. He isnt fat at all though. He is 5'6",5'7" 15yrs old, and 130lbs but during the summer his weight dramaticly changes to 110lbs. His friends sometimes call him fat and I was wondering if that would be part of the cause.
What I am wondering, does it sound like he has some type of disorder? I need some information to put my nerves to rest. Could I also have links to sights that would give my information about eating or wieght disorders.
Thanks For All Your Help!

He eats only once a day if that but only by force. As in someone has to tell and force him to eat. If not he will go 3-4 days without eating. He says he can eat like a medium fry from Burger King and he is full for 1-2 day(s).

I'd live him alone about his weight. Giving him a lot of compliments about his weight or appearance is a bad idea too. Just leave him alone about it unless you see an actual problem, like he is refusing to eat, making excuses in order to avoid lunch, makes himself throw up. Boys call each other fat and even worse all the time. He's been in this position for 15 yeas now, so that shouldn't be new to him.
Just the fact that he lost a lot of weight means very little. His body is changing a lot if he is 15.
As for more info - look up "anorexia" or "eating disorder" on google or yahoo search

It's hard to say from so little information, but yes, it's possible that it could be eating disorders.
The clue for me is not so much that he is thin, or even that he lost so much weight, but more that he answers various questions about himself by giving the "Because I am fat" answer.
Ummm..... my guess is that you were not exactly expecting that for an answer to your question, yes ?? Except in their disorder.....it can seem perfectly reasonable to to give that as an answer. Rather than being able to say what they really feel, using more complex words and emotions.
For people with EDs, " I am fat" is emotional code language for things like...."I am a bad person"...or ...." I don't deserve anything good"....if you follow me ??
And yes, being teased about his weight could indeed have set all this in motion. But he probably had some inner emotional vulnerabilities to begin with.
It's not really fair to diagnose this from so little information, but then again, If it seems that he uses this "I am fat" explanation for other things.....things that might normally call for a more emotionally direct answer......you indeed might want to be concerned about eating disorders.
Guys can get them too, and that's no lie.

. Oops, just saw your added note about his "eating habits".....and yeah.....that's kind of like how people with eating disorders eat. So again....another possible red flag.
One other thing. He may honestly have no clue that he's in trouble....even if he does have a real problem. So don't count on him to neccesarily be aware of his situation.....at least for now.

Just go to Google.com and in the search bar type:
early signs of an eating disorder
or
signs of an eating disorder.
That way you can tell for yourself if he's been having any of the symptoms/behaviors. Maybe talk to his parents. They will be able to help him more than you. Good luck and I hope he gets well (not saying that he isn't).

stress subject concerns are an exceptionally harsh end so you might bounce to. Grades are significant, and that i think of it truly is amazingly widespread to be troubled & sense stress whilst coping with any significant remember. even nonetheless, in case you have been a quickly A student, and abruptly finally end up experiencing severe apprehension on the possibility of even doing all your artwork, it truly is advisable to examine what else is going on that makes you have certainly one of those severe reaction. putting it off and selecting to not finished the artwork will in easy terms exacerbate the subject. in case you have somebody which could help you learn, or in case you may talk on your professors, that would ease issues and make all of it greater approachable. in case you presently had an altercation with a instructor or fellow student, nicely known that as a source of stress, yet remind your self that the interpersonal relationships you have are cut loose the artwork itself. while you're having issues someplace else on your existence, you may nicely be looking which you're distracted as an prompt results of that. if your college artwork is the only element that seems to be laid low with what you discover to be a skill stress illness, i could be at risk of think of that it maximum probable isn't a real illness via scientific definition. artwork on what's eating you, talk your instructors, and discover a ray of sunshine on your skill to hold it back around. stable success, and terrific needs to you.

I am wondering if the sudden change in his weight left him with love handles around his waist (not very attractive) or excess skin hanging around the wrong areas. Sometimes men get male breast, which are very difficult to get rid of. Sometimes a sudden weight change, can leave stretch marks that can look groutest to others. Sounds like he is very self conscious about his body. You might need to reassure him that he looks great.

Losing 10 pounds and being insecure don't constitute an eating disorder. If he looks unhealthy, he's sick.

I'm 5'8" and my ideal weight is 160lbs. I look really skinny at 160lbs. I couldn't imagine being one inch shorter and weighing 30lbs less!!! He might be small boned... or just have really stupid friends. Support him, tell him he is gorgeous the way he is, and jump into his arms! :)
