I believe sometimes pretty people can get away with things trolls couldn't or those not considered beautiful-although beauty is in the eye of the beholder....let's face it-if you have the body and face over someone who has the brains; but not the looks-sometimes people being shallow and all will hire you or date you-because if it's ncie they want it. What is your opinion?

Of course looks are very very important. There wouldn't be so many people getting plastic surgery if it wasn't so.

I think beauty has become so fake, you cant tell who is really beautiful. I believe a person shows their true beauty in confidence and self as teem. The media does have a major impact on how people see beauty, making women feel ugly and some how looking for other ways to better themselves. When in reality, they forget how beautiful they can be if they just let their instinct take over their style and appearance. We have become the Roman Empire, where beauty is everything along with wealth and fornication.
When it comes to getting the job, I would have to agree. Sometimes I feel hesitant to except a job, because I don't know if its because of my looks or my degree? Some girls don't care, but if your competitive and want to get ahead the right way it bothers you.

Absolutely. There was even a study done a few years ago that was mentioned on the news. Some students did a study of how small children were treated by their parents, say at grocery stores, etc. They found that "pretty" children were treated better by their parents. And that the parents were more careful w/ safety issues (belting kids in) if the kids were "pretty" vs ordinary.

I think that people with good looks or good bodies are always treated better. But on the bright side, looks fade.

Absolutely. People have never been more shallow in such huge numbers, thanks, in part, to our wonderful media advertising than they are today. Since there are almost as many women bosses (more in the government) as men; now pretty boys can move on up just like the T&A bimbos used to. The Peter-Principle is alive and doing well in the USA.

I can't wait until some bimbo or mimbo writes in and tells us "plain" folk how hard they have had to work! Get ready!

there grew to become right into a teach on 20/20 or 60 minutes a while in the past approximately that very subject count number. They sent in actors with same skills (the uglier individual havnig some better skills each and every so often) and the nicer finding individual gained out each and each time. i think of it somewhat is unhappy... I continuously instruct my son that he desires to look on the middle of the guy and not on the exterior - with the aid of fact even the main suitable individual could be grotesque in distinctive techniques. "elegance is only epidermis deep". i think of the only way society will exchange is through instructing our acquaintances and kin - and not catering to the companies that could in basic terms hit upon with the "perfect human beings". there's an amazing documentary action picture referred to as "Blue Eyed", with Jane Elliot) that pertains to the subject count number on many stages. I rather rather advise it for absolutely everyone - distinctly educators. you have got considered her on Oprah.
