There cannot be a scene without actors. IF you just tell him/her in a way that is very private. IF he/she is abusive, make sure others' know of your intentions. If not, just ignore him/her. Or "slowly get him off the bottle". Then just say bye-bye.
Don't be a part of the Hollywood drama unless you are getting paid big bucks!

If he is already your ex, why do you need to kick him to the curb? Did you let him back in after you got rid of him the first time? Well, that certainly complicates matters. Here are a few ideas:

1. Change the locks.
2. Pack up his stuff in a box and leave it sitting on the front porch.
3. Move out and find a new place of your own.
4. Send him a text message.

My recommendation is when you do get him out, don't let him back in again.........................................................duh!

Hard one. Have all his belongings outside the front door and all the locks changed when he gets home? Or maybe call him and say you don't want a scene but you are through and you want him to find another place?

But there's no guarantee there won't be a scene no matter what you do. Maybe it's best to plan for one, just in case. Good Luck. :)

Just be honest to start and do it in a private place where NO scene will take place. If your a male, be a MAN and if your a woman then be a WOMAN. Thats leaving them with a little dignity after all you at once liked to be with that person, Right?
Don't make him or her think it was their own idea to leave. That is CRUEL and very chicken ****. . .

Make things so unpleasant that he/she will WANT to leave and will think that it's his/her own idea.
Sigh, but the best thing is to be direct, even if it causes a scene.

Do it at his house so when you're done- you can leave. He should care enough about what his neighbors think to make a scene there (he does have to see them everyday).
