The drool in question is brown in color and only happens at night when sleeping.

Yeah, when you're laying down the fluids in your lungs and stomach will creep further up than normal and pool in your mouth.

This could be a symptom of a toothache, in which case it's bacteria making it brown, a stomach condition, in which case it's bile, or years or smoking/chewing, in which case it's tar.

You should see your doctor and tell him about this and any other symptoms you think might be related.

Nasty--- get it checked. Maybe some kind of small amount of bleeding somewhere in your mouth or throat. Can't be a good sign... so check it out.

you could have a bad tooth...my aunt had one tooth with caries and it was infected...she wqould leave her pillow cases with born spots...every day.....she wentt o the doc right away!
