If you really like this person, then you probably have a good friendship with them already. If this guy is really a good guy for you, then he will be happy and give you a chance. If he is not happy that you like him and doesn't give you a chance, then you should probably reevaluate your friendship with him.

Get over it and do it anyway. You will feel 110% better when you do, no matter what his response. At least you will have it off your chest. Most guys would be flattered to know that someone likes them and if he is mean about it... well then that's probably not the kind of guy you want to like anyway. Good luck! :-)

well if you dont do eye contact and smile or ask them to join you for an event or go somewhere then you will play the waht if games in your head & most likely will beat yourself up over it mentally. Couldve wouldve shouldve thing ya know? no one is a mind reader here - well not 100% but least let him get the hint. know their interests before you ask him out. Then this way you cna strike up a conversation of his interest. Theres nothing worse to sulk over a person you wanted to ask out

what happenned with me wuz that ma friend told the guy n i didnt noe n then he liked me n i noticed so i told him n he wuz cool wit it. so i think u shud just be urself n tell him in his face. dont text im or e-mail him cuz theres no feel in it. when u tell him in the face u really feel like u did sumthin. n if he doesnt like u w/e al least u didnt spend all ur time starin at him n ruinin ur social life. i mean i noe how it feels when u turn sum1 down cuz ive done that many times.

Just hint around that you like the person and try to get to know them better don't be so shy. I f that person liked you and you were to shy you would regret that decision.
