i was boarding a plane with my cousin,she leaned over to whisper that the guy ahead of us was flirting ,and the airline stewardess told us that we couldn't whisper.

I would have gotten the flight attendant's name and filed a complaint with the airline.

That is insanity. There is no such stated rules of behavior that whispering or talking quietly is breaking the airline's rules or code of conduct. Maybe that the guy who was flirting was the stewardess's little brother, and she was being protective as she might have overheard, perhaps she was eavesdropping and doesn't want two passengers to talk about another passenger. If she didn't offend you or did any mental or physical harm to you, don't sweat it. It's not like you did anything wrong.

If you start with one cannot whisper on a plane, then soon you cannot blink your eyes at someone in the plane for you may be passing a secret, then you cannot smile in the plane for that would mean that you are up to no good , then of course you cannot yawn for that can be interprated as an insult. Then again, you cannot sneeze for the explosive sound is seen as an act of violence. Oh yes and very important you cannot talk for certainly that can be seen as conferring with the enemy.
