There is a twist and lock gel that you can use to seal the twist. The brand i use is "Organic Root Stimulator". It's pre-mixed and when it dries, your synthetic locs are still soft, just like real hair.

Burn the ends but be careful since it is synthetic it can catch fire easily. SO be careful not to catch your whole head on fire.

burn them at towards the ends very very lightly just enough to get the heat up there
