I used to take that medication. I never had any problems with anxiety until then and during my pregancy when I had panic attacks. I would talk to your doctor about switching to a different medication. Sometimes one medication is good for one person and not for the other.

If this has been an ongoing problem since you've gone on Wellbutrin, report it to your doctor. It doesn't matter if you've been on it for years, sometimes medications 'stop' working for you, and there are others to keep in mind.
Just breathe. Watch TV. Don't ask a lot of yourself. Call your doc tomorrow because he will know whether or not to begin tapering you off it. Also, if it has only been a couple of days, give it a couple more to make sure you are reacting to the medication and nothing else. You'll be OK. Seriously. You'll know for sure within a week - this is a drug either new to your system (which always causes something) or one you have been on a long time and need to try something different. I've been there;P Good luck. Let yourself relax or go to bed early if you are feeling overwhelmed. This is time for you to take care of you. Anxiety is a long, bumpy road, but eventually it ends for the most part. Best of luck.
*To Vincent* - I never knew that! It's pretty funny. I guess I'm not the only well-oft on here:)

There are other meds with different side effects. it really depends on why you were prescribed the wellbutrin, it's been prescribed for everything from depression to weight-loss to smoking cessation. if you are bipolar and the wellbutrin is for the depression, your doc can also prescribe something that won't kick you up into too high a gear.
either way, you should definitely let your doc know.

For me, I had to blend the Wellbutrin with an SSRI like Prozac or Zoloft in order to feel generally ok. The psychiatrist told me that Wellbutrin and Zoloft are prescribed together so frequently they even call the duo "Well-oft" in the industry. I totally understand what you mean about Wellbutrin making you anxious on its own.

If this has been going on for more than a few weeks it is unlikely to change while you take that medication. You probably should discuss it with your doctor as they may want to take you off of it and onto something that will work better. That is NOT a normal way to feel on welbutrin. Ask the doctor!

Each patient reacts differently to medication. Talk with your doctor about a change in strength or a new medication.

Report this to your doctor,he may want to taper it off and then starting something else. There are other meds that will not have the same effect on you.
