Never own a credit card before and I only know that you can't pay a house payment with a credit card. I've really been using my debit card all my life. Will greatly appreciate it if ya'll let me know what kind of bills I pay with a credit card and what I can't, like medical bills and traffic tickets, etc. I should talk to a credit card companys right now and ask them questions but I hate it when they try and talk you into getting one right away. anyways, thanks for the help

You can pay any bill (such as phone, cable, etc) as long as the company accepts your credit card. Most places except the major ones, like Visa, MasterCard, etc.

I've never heard of a bill you can't pay with a credit card--except in some cases a credit card bill. But you know, when people say you "can't" pay bills with credit... they may really be saying that you *shouldn't*. And they're right. I covered a month of bills once with credit because I was in a situation without choice. But I'm still paying for that month of bills. It's not worth it unless it's your last resort.

If you are responsible with your monies and pay your debts off in time, during the grace period, use your card.. If you can't afford something with cash don't use your card.. It's so basic but so true..

Just watch out, some companies, Governmental agencys etc charge you the points that usually a business pays to accept a credit card.. Yes, businesses pay usually 1.5 to 4% of the total purchase to a credit card company for the ability to use their card to generate more business than just strictly cash and checks..

Ya know, most bills you can pay with a credit card, but I wouldn't advise it. You are creating another bill when paying for one bill and will end up paying much more than the bill actually was in the long run.

You can't pay a credit card bill with another credit or debit card.

Usually you can pay all your utilities, gas, another other place that accepts your card.
