This is just a suggestion, but I've heard that it helps to give up junk food and fried food and processed food and sugar and to add more whole grains, veggies, and fish (like haddock and salmon), and brown and whole grain rice and to drink skimmed milk and more water.

I guess you know plenty of sunshine helps, in winter try a UV lamp. I've heard of this oil from the Andes called Rosa Musqueta oil that's very effective agaist scarring, you can apply it externally or take as capsules. It has been in Mail on Sunday & Sunday Times. I know good health shops sell it also.
Also I found a factsheet from this site which is a good source of information. You can type in Psoriasis & will give you more results.
Also, have you ever tried healing? it might help; the NFSH (national federation of spiritual healers) have centres all around the country & they only work on donations, it's worth a try; please go to this site & type in ur postcode for your nearest centre:
http://www.nfsh.org.uk/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,70/
Also on this page, there's sth about Dead Sea treatment which is supposed 2 b effective:

I hope this helps!

I have known several people, including myself who have had this condition, and I've come to a conclusion that I firmly believe in.
The doctors will tell you they have no cure or really effective treatment for it, and I believe this is why.
This is because it is a purely emotionally driven problem. My sister had it only when she was under severe stress, and myself and everyone I've ever talked to has the same story. The ones who have it for years, have never resolved their source of stress.
The kind of stress they suffer from is not the usual job related, money problems, etc., It's always from something deeply personal that involves unresolved deep fear and anxiety of some kind. The fear and anxiety is usually something they've never discussed with anyone, and sometimes are even in denial about.
Sometimes their problems are addressed and solved and the symptoms leave, and some have it for life.
It can also come and go several times in your life, for brief periods of time.

There's no cure and each person is different. There's 5 general types. It is an autoimmune condition.

Psoriasis is an inflammatory disease that manifests most commonly as well-circumscribed, erythematous papules and plaques covered with silvery scales. Cause is unknown, but common triggers include trauma, infection, and certain drugs. Symptoms are usually minimal with occasional mild itching, but cosmetic implications may be major. Some people develop severe disease with painful arthritis. Diagnosis is based on appearance and distribution of lesions. Treatment is with emollients, vitamin D analogues, retinoids, tar, anthralin, corticosteroids, phototherapy, and when severe, methotrexate, retinoids, biologics, or immunosuppressants.
Please see the web pages for more details on Psoriasis.

I suffered with psoriasis for over twenty years and had every lotion, potion, cream that was going, I tried chinese herbal treatment, I had creams from africa and france and nothing worked, I then tried sunbeds and after five sessions of 6 minutes the condition was gone, apart from on m,y elbows, I have continued with the sunbeds and my skin is still clear after two years, the relief and the no itching and embarassment far out weigh the so called risks of sunbeds
