Tell her you don't feel good and need to go to the doc. Maybe something like you have had a really bad sore throat for 2 weeks and it's not going away. Then when you get to the doc and are alone with him or her tell them what's really going on.

She is your mother and you need to let her know. If she is uncooperative than tell a close relative or teacher. Do you have a history of depresion or is this the 1st time?
Anyway, do not run-away that doesn't help you at all, knock doors until one opens. Do not give up. Depresion is very treatable and you can live a very normal life like others.

be strong! (not like go talk to your mom though) snap out of it and be optimistic. hard but like i said be strong, don't act like a coward and let problems in life take over. Make an ego for yourself, big enough so you know that you matter and small things shouldn't control you.
if you can't be strong talk to a counselor or look things up on the net or magazines about it.
don't run away or become suicidal though, you have so much more in the future, just wait till you get out of high school. just think, if you run away, they will catch you (the police) and bring you home. then your mom will even be stricter and try to control everything you do. and push you to tell her everything,....you don't want that.
I was like that and now i'm almost done with high school, can't wait to get away. just be patient adn have a lot of confidence in yourself, like i said, don't be arrogant but build an ego for yourself. make friends and know that you matter.

We all feel depression it will pass if you say anything to anybody they will just give you a happy pill and you will never get over it depression is a state of mind think about good things and quit looking for pity your life is in your hands it is what you make it. Think positive no more bad days just some days are not as good as others. Get strong on the inside if you have to get mad it will help. If you are told to take any anti depressants it will only mask the true feeling and you wont be in total control of your life ask god for help he will listen. Be strong.

Is there any other adult you can talk to first? A teacher, school counselor, clergy person? That may be easier for starters. Unless there is serious abuse in the family, running away will not improve things. If abuse is at the root of your depression, then you need to talk about that.

You have every right to be where you are so don't run away.
Depression is serious. About you mom ... just tell her that you feel that you might be depressed and seek help from a therapist. A therapist will help you to figure out what is best to do. And what not to do.
Therapy works.

If you are feeling depressed, running away is definately not the answer. If you absolutely can't talk to your mom, you need to talk to somebody. Maybe a teacher or a school guidance counselor.
