i don't know exactly what type of curly hair you have so its hard to answer your question, but i suggest you go to one of these websites.

I get a lot of my hair stles from these sites.
Also you can braid the pony tail at night and when its dry take it out it looks really cuite & if you put a little moose before you braid it it works better.

I also have really curly hair and sometimes don't feel like putting any product in it at night either. Since my hair is also very thick, if I put it in a bun at night it will usually still be wet or at least damp tomorrow morning. I actually have my hair in a bun right now and when I wake up tomorrow I plan on putting some serum in my hair for frizz and then gel to control it. After you put the gel in scrunch small sections at a time of hair. Or if you have a lot of time twirl each ringlet around your finger. I can't guarantee that this will work however for you because everybody's curls are different. I know a hair stylist that says she uses different products on all her customers with curls. By the way, I'm using biosilk serum and herbal essences gel. However for my hair, this still doesn't get rid of all my frizz. I've yet to find a product that does and I feel like I've tried every frizz control product out there. And I'm not saying these are the best products either. I hope this helps and Good Luck! Trust me, I know how frustrating it can be to deal with frizzy and curly hair. Sometimes you just want to chop it all off.

Also, try not to touch your hair when you're done styling it. It usually creates more frizz!

if you put some gel in it, i actually like to use aloe vera gel, twist it around into a bun, it will be full of body in the am. if you don't like how it comes out, just wet it and do what you want with it. that doesn't have the same effect as re washing it, but then it will dry how you want it to. aloe vera gel is great for your hair, i use the same way i use a styling gel, let it dry, then whisk your fingers thru to perk it up. it strengthens and makes your hair very shiny, but leaves no oily or sticky residue in it. learned this from a Mexican lady, with long silky beautiful waist length hair. she was in her 40's but had hair as beautiful as a child's
good luck with it..

quit being lazy and do something with it before you go to bed. If I want my hair to look good the next day I let my hair dry naturally and style it before I go to bed. Then in the morning When I wake up it looks fab. Don't know why it works...it just does. But if you want to wear it up, don't let it dry first. pull it up while it's wet and style it then. It will stay up better the next day. You may have to take it down and re-pull it up in the morning but it'll still lay the same!

Just simply dry your hair before you to bed. That's honestly the only thing you can really do.
