Someone could have spyware on that computer which monitors all keystrokes. I had an ex-boyfriends kids do that to me. I completely unplugged the computer, for a couple of days, and bought every spyware and virus blocker I could get my hands on. I also reported the incident to AOL, and after that, I had no more problems. They can monitor it thru their own security site, but I would also (after making sure spyware was installed) change every password and username to everything I logged into. No telling what else they may have....but do contact AOL immediately....Good Luck

First of all, that IS weird because AIM won't allow two people to be signed on with the same ID simultaneously. It'll send an IM to both of those signed on and ask one of them to reply with the number 1 in order to stay logged on.
Is she sure that it is the EXACT same IM name? (Like h0tbaby instead of hotbaby?) She may have someone she knows just playing a prank on her that knows her IM name and address.

I'm a bit confused, but... could your friend have signed in on another computer just to trick his sister? If this wasn't what happened, then it sounds like she needs to change her screen name and login, and get better internet security on her computer.

Sounds like a poltergeist....
No but maybe someone (like one of her 'friends') has her password if she didn't properly sign out when outside her house??

Somebody hacked into her computer and got her info. She had better get hold of every account and her isp and cancel it all, letting them know this has happened.

It was someone messing with you.If it happens again, I would tell a parent, and save the IM. Your parents would know what to do.

Hopefully, it was a prank by someone who knows your friend --- maybe a sibling, etc. Not a very funny joke in my opinion. Very scary if is was NOT someone she knows!!
