Most regular stores only carry the basic colors. If none of those do it for you, check if they have a palette and a mixer. They can create any color you want. Ask for a copy of the formula they used to make the shades you ordered because you will need that in case you need more paint.

Learn how to do the jobs of the paint and hues stores. If you know how they operate, you can pretty much figure out how to get what you want in any paint and color store.

If you do your homework, you will also learn that colors are only part of the equation. There is texture, drying scale, chemical components of the paint, and sheen, among other things to worry about.

Have fun and if you have a designer or interior decorator friend, enlist their help.

If my answer is completely off tangent and you are simply looking at cars (lol) go to another dealership or order the color you want. It will come 2-6 months later.

if you go to a home store like home depot or lowes they only have set colors to choose from. if you are looking for something specific (meaning maybe you have a swatch of a color you want to match etc...) you can go to an actual paint store like Benjamin Moore, and they will mix paint to create your perfect color.
