Has anybody ever lost weight taking apple cider vinegar? If so, how much? How much of it are you supposed to take in daily?

I know exercise is important, but I heard that this speeds up the fat burning process. It tastes pretty bad I know. I can handle a spoonful or two. I just need to know exactly how much to take.

I didn't lose weight, but I must confess that it really helped in controlling hunger. That's because of the pectine contained in the apples and that can still be found in the vinegar. You could start by taking a teaspoon or two of vinegar in a glass of water before every meal. If the tartness isn't appealing to you, try to add one teaspoon of honey to your mix.
I didn't get thinner (but maybe it's because I don't have more than a pound or two to lose), but I felt definitely better : more energy, better digestion, better hunger-management (which was a big issue...), stronger immunity, no more nausea and so on. But, watch out for any sign showing that vinegar is irritating your stomach! This cure is not for everybody and anyone who has a weak stomach should refrain from trying it.

I have tried it...and I couldn't choke it down, literally! The smell alone made me sick. I tried taking straight shots, and I tried mixing it in with water, but I couldn't do it.
It's used as a diuretic, so you'll only be losing water weight. However, if you would like to live and learn, and try to supress your gag reflex long enough to find out that you're not actually losing any weight, then, please, be my guest!

my friend used to really swear by it - that it's a great detoxifying agent for your body system. The smell puts everyone off, we never took her advice. Now she's given it up herself ! what does this tell us? she's ok without it, but so are we all.

tried it...didn't work. I think you're supposed to drink an 8 oz glass a day. It's pretty nasty though. Don't waste you time.
