I don't understand why people answer questions with an " I dunno" etc... If you don't know the answer, isn't it logical to just move on to another question that you CAN answer?

Well, at least the people who asked the questions will know that I participated in their event and was helpless instead of getting no answers.. I would love to know that many people are clueless on the same question that I am clueless on.. Hope this explanation helps.

Oh, I dunno sorry. Now I don't know why I did that. Can someone help me out here? It does feel kinda nice. Usually for two points I write about 15 paragraphs. (Workaholic response.)

Happy new year. They do not move on because they are ambivalent, greedy or lazy.
Or all the above.

People want the 2 points.
That is really annoying though.

"I don't know" is one of the most spiritual responses i have had. In the long run, i am looking inside for the answers, and it pushes me to seek. I do the work and expect no-one else to do it for me. They don't have to lie either.

some people want the points, some want the chance to be nasty, some want to provide a bit of something they knew that might be helpful, there are as many reasons as there are users! a lot of them might want to know why you asked the question to begin with, eh? some might just want to throw in something they thought would be funny. life's too short, as they say!

Because they want you to know that they took the time to read your question, even if they couldn't help
