Yes and you should. I once has my hair damaged from color and it was horriable!!!!! It took a year for it to completely remove itself. Deep conditioning it the only thing that got it back to a good state weekly or every three days depending on climate. Try Infusium 23 color/perm shampoo + condtion+ leave in condition. That works for ALL hair types....even mine!

of course, condition your hair! any time you dye your hair you should condition it often; i reccomend every other day. if you bleached your hair at all, condition it every day. use the conditioner that came in the hair dye box, that's what it's meant for. if your hair is severely damaged, try to find something like a 60 second hair repair at a drugstore, or some other kind of deep conditioner.

Yes you really should do the deep condition weekly. I would recommend letting it sit for over 2 hours before washing it off. Here are some of reviews on the commercial products: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_facileforms&Itemid=&ff_name=ReviewList&ff_param_section=3&ff_param_cat=7&ff_param_limit=10&ff_param_order=SubmissionDateNew

it is good to do 2 x week. if you use heat the hair opens up so the conditioner will go deeper into the hair, if your hair drys it stops conditioning. so put the conditioner on stay in a steamy shower, or put a shower cap on so that body heat makes the cond go deeper, another way is to put cond on then keep hot wet towels around it. use a good salon bought cond. some of the drug store cond will hurt your hair. some drug store cond have wax in them which takes the life out of hair

1.you could go to www.timerenewal.com (it's pantene-the shampoo) and take the quiz. you could the use shampoo they suggest. they have a shampoo that is just for hair that has been through alot. it takes away the damage.
2. you could lay off on the dyeing until your hair is healthy.
3 you could take vitamins (see what vitamins help you hair become healthy.)
-- i think you should try all that.
hope this helps.

I would see a colorist. Adding color to your hair does damage it, however, if it is done properly, the damge is minimal.
