If someone belongs in the HOMOSEXUAL category, then why does he/she wants to belong in the CHRISTIAN category without leaving the HOMO category?

People can be both gay and Christian. I'm Catholic and I have premarital sex...it doesn't make me any less Catholic.

My Vulcan friend says the set of Christians and the set of homosexuals is not mutally exclusive, unlike say the rigid caste classifications used by some Hindus.

Religion is based on your belief in something. It is what your soul tells you that you believe.

Homosexuality is not a choice. It is a biological...thing. Homosexuality is caused when a male gets a large blast of estrogen to the mating part of his brain in the womb. For females, it is either too little estrogen or too much testosterone. One of those two.

One may sincerely believe in the Christian god and happen to be homosexual.

One can be a Christian and straight. One can be a Christian and bisexual. Why should homosexuality make one disbelieve in something they believe?

Depends on the categories. Like, you can't be both dead and alive at the same time. But you can, for instance, be both Christian and Wiccan.
