I'm depressed and I have taken anti depressants before and they work. I went to the doctor today to get some after stopping for a while. She said I need to talk to a therapist instead of getting pills. I'm anti social so the last thing I want to do is talk to a therapist, and I always bottle my feelings up. My sister's cat is deaf, depressed and pees everywhere. Why does the cat get it when I need it more than the cat? The worst he can do is pee on the couch and floor, the worst I could do is kill myself. My sister got her pills when she needed them, I'm thinking about switching doctors after 26 years.

Just because your doctor didn't want to give you medication "on the spot" doesn't mean you wont eventually get it. It may be that after talking to the therapist you will get it from him or her. -anti-depressants is not something to be taken lightly- afterall it causes changes in neurotransmitters and neuron activity. -it may even casue you to pee everywhere like your cat! (just kidding.)
On the other hand depression is also not something to take lightly. My advice: Keep asking for meds (like from the therapist) if you want to but do try other forms of therapy. The combination may be the best!

the reson is that doctors could not talk to a cat, so a cat cannot undergo a therapy
