Do some religious kids have it harder if their family believes that demons are real?

Having grown up a non believer, the childhood worry of the closet and under the bed wore off with knowing that 'monsters' aren't real. But what of kids that are raised that demons and bad spirits are real? In that case, maybe they think something COULD be there if they believe those kinds of things? What on earth does that do to people.

As a kid, I was conditioned to believe that if I sinned, I would burn in Hell after death. Hell was described to me in excruciating detail, and it seemed that everything could land you there...even going to sleep. "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Amen." I said that every night when I was a kid, and I had a hard time sleeping some nights. Fear-mongering, directed at children, should be illegal, particularly when it is accompanied by religious indoctrination (brainwashing).

For one, they won't be comin out of any closet>to begin...they won't go in<. These people will probably walk a straighter road during their formative years, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Later in life they realize the demons are there, but not in the closet. Speed demons, addiction demons, bad spirited people, homemade hooch(really bad spirits), etc.

And YOU thought it was made up!

Demons or delayed energy villians or devils, delayed energy villians, are deceased persons that we continue to hate that help conjure up the same sins in us that they did while they were alive. When we can worship the dead as they are in heaven with the "Father" so to speak, or heavenly spirit, then we can see that they are healed from their grave sins there and we can imagine how in that healed state they would act differently on earth than they did when they sinned gravely at times, times that when we remember them that way over and over, it delays our ability to function civilly today or become healers and apostles one unto another creating a heaven on earth. Demons and devils are real to the extent that we somehow find ourselves grinding and gnashing our teeth, wanting these people who abused us or our loved ones while living on earth....to pay for their sins, not realizing that if there is One God, we are all part of that God and helped create the abuser's roller coaster ride of sins on earth before we and they were ever born and they ours. So teach the children to focus on what an abuser would be like in heaven and to communicate with that spirit, to worship that spirit that has the capacity to change the grave sinful behavior into heavenly possibilities from functional creative civil imagination!

Those given proper instruction in The Truth of God's Word and Will will know they are protected from demons and things that go bump in the night.... This gives them strength not fear... unfortunatly many use the threat of demons and such to scare kids and do not give, or do not even believe, God's assurance of protection.... kids who have been exposed to such fear mongering are often very troubled adults... sad but true that God's Word is misused ot mis treat children...

I was raised that way. But myself, and almost all my classmates decided it all must be a crock, early on in life. We laughed our selves sick about it all when the priest, or nuns weren't looking. We reached the age of reason at an early age. On the other hand, my poor mother feared the pains of hell until the day she died. Always wished I could go back and kick whoever did that to her in the balls really hard.

The demons that are real do not hide under beds.

Not at all.
We're a Christian family. My kids are scared of the whacko's that may follow you around in a car, or watch them at the playground.

So what you're saying is, children of atheist parents don't believe in; monsters, the tooth fairy, the easter bunny, santa claus, miracles, etc etc. ~ sounds pretty boring.

What does it do? It makes them take authority over these things and send them away in the name of Jesus. Many times I have been in homes that had problems with spirits moving things and making noise and I just take authority over them and send them away.
Demons are real and they must obey the name of Jesus..
