I do find it hard to apologize, but I try to when I feel an apology is merited.

I fully disagree with this quote though. Wrongs you seven times. So lets say...

1. Kills your spouse
2. Kills child number 1
3. Kills child number 2
4. Steals a priceless heirloom and destroys it
5. Calls your boss to make false accusations that result in your termination, as well as causing irreparable damage to your reputation in the field
6. Stabs you in the chest so that it will hurt whenever you breathe until you die
7. Steps on your foot (the last six were pretty bad, so we'll make this benign)

At this point, your family, career, and health are compromised or gone altogether. How should "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" (even an extra one in 'good will') merit forgiveness?

Yes, sometimes it is hard, because I don't like admitting that I am wrong. But I find that since I have been saved, God has helped me, through prayer, to be more forgiving, and in turn, I am forgiven more often by others. It is wonderful, no?

No...if I am wrong, I will and to buy peace I surely will. I believe that one who apologizes is considered mature.
Of course, the flip side is that it has made me into a door mat..everyone walks all over my emotions ;)

Yes, especially if it is to a family member.

As you know, ego and pride are the shackles on apologizing.

Crap! I'm an atheist and I say sorry all the damn time, I'm sick of it!
I say sorry even when it's not my fault!
