You can take the edge off those big white-headed guys and get rid of that kind of pimple overnight if you pop with care. Always wash your hands thoroughly before you begin. Puncture the head lightly with a sanitized needle (you should clean it by wiping it with alcohol, or by passing it through a flame) and wipe away the pus that comes out. Never, ever, force the issue – squeezing will only send the goo you can’t see further into your skin, which will leave you with one of those painful zits that takes forever to go away. And while popping pimples is fun, it’s not worth that, is it?

yes if it has to be asked then it really bothers you. it most of the time becomes a habbit known as OCD obsessive compulsive disorder. now they branched out that simple diagnosis to Dermatillomania or body dismorfic disorder, were you cannot stop tuching your face and boy does it eccilate. if you feel that it is becoming a problem phychotherapy and pill popping is not the answer. cognotive behavioral therapy. so yes popping them are bad for the skin and the more you do it the more the intense addiction comes. don't let it get to far.

Yes, they leave ugly red marks, and cause the infection to spread. I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer six times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Yes, I found that when I do pop them they can leave a scar.
Better to let them dry out and fall off. Use Hydrogen peroxide a couple of times a day and they should be gone before you know it. However if it's a whitehead and very ugly I would squeeze the white part off then dab the bleeding part with the peroxide.

yes, the primary damage is breaking the small blood vessels (called capillaries) when you mash on the pimple. the other damage is to the pores and the last reason is the very real possibility of infection (there are staff germs on the skin naturally and when you mash pimples it leaves open wounds which are susceptible to infection.

yesss!!! i know its super tempting but it will scar your face! if you must get rid of your pimple go to your nearest drug store and buy a tweezerman blackhead remover, its a metal rod with loops on the end, it works wonders!

YES!! Don't do it! As much as it may drive you nuts. It is very possible that it will leave a scar! Trust me...I have several scars because I couldn't leave them alone!
