does a dog feel guilt?

i dont mean does it feel sorry after youve told him off, i mean guilt inbetween doin something naughty and you finding out.

Yes they can, if they do something they know is against the rules. My dog will get a guilty look on her face & sheepishly leave the room & I don't know why until I find she's busted into the cat food or somthing of the sort. I've seen many instances of dogs feeling guilt before they're busted.

If you have an intelligent dog they certainly do. My greyhound pulls a funny face when he knows he's done something naughty , like farting in the T.V room while we're eating dinner.

Definitely. I have a 5 month old Bichonpoo and I can always tell when she has done something she shouldn't. She puts her head down and looks real sullen and guilty.

I think my pit bull Max knows when he does something wrong and I get onto him for it. He does this funny looking grin with his mouth. He also pouts when I leave him. Dogs have feelings too.

No. Absolutely not. The dog will respond to how YOU are acting when you see him.

Dogs don't feel guilt or shame, they are wired to
A. Try to keep good stuff happening
B. Try to stop bad stuff when its happening

Yes. One time one of my dogs pissed on the floor and i wondered whom did it and the one dog looked at me really guilty like!

I think so. My friend's dog will hide if he done something wrong.

mine does. when they do something they know is wrong they hang their heads. poor things, so l really do not need to punish them because usually that quilt breaks that thing
