The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Let's at least get the quote right.. and yes, I have.. and I have no regrets :)

I doubt one can travel an uncharted path these days. Most everything has already been done. I can say that I've taken the road less traveled when it comes to my spiritual and moral belief system. Early on I felt as tho the conventional ideas of society, as it pertains to those areas, weren't for me. I simply felt that some things considered "wrong" or "sinful" were not. I'm not alluding to murder or rape or things that harm others or myself. I'm speaking to legal issues and moral laws that don't support the rights of others and the idea that there is only one way to know god. I started reading, picking and choosing those ideas which felt right to me.

I never have regretted my spiritual path, or where it got me (which was closer to enlightenment) If anything, I have become a more compassionate and open minded person. Especially when it comes to ideas that differ from mine. I think my only failing is a very cynical sense of humor when dealing with the ignorant. And I don't mean people of a lesser IQ, or mentally challenged people. I'm referring to those who refuse to be informed or extend their reasoning beyond their own belief system.

13 years ago I dreamed of leaving a busy freeway for a dirt road alongside a river. The road caved in behind me and I ended up in a quiet place of old tools and storage sheds. This is the road not traveled. It got me nowhere and I do not regret it. I don't regret it because there is nowhere to go, anyway.

Yeah I got bored last week, decided to take a little road trip. Let me tell you, it was not worth all the gas I wasted, getting lost every couple miles, having to pull over and ask for directions...pretty much the only the think the road not traveled had to offer was a pretty good waffle house named The Waffle Not Eaten, if you decide to go, which I don't recommend, make sure you eat there, oh and bring a friend too, it gets boring, fast.

if you take the road not traveled, then it isn't the road not traveled--it may be the road less traveled, and yes, I've taken it and it got me memories saved, time lost and shoes worn. I regret nothing in my life.

How about the road LESS traveled?

I travel by, unknown roads and open sky.
I need to find, my own soul and my own kind.

Walk, do nut run, the time to fear has just begun.
Save your strength, for when it's due; concentrate, on what to do.

I almost fell, for her charms and her sweet smell
I always knew, I'd think of her and know it's true.

That the blame, for this curse is my need to reverse
Choices made and what I've built, holding on to the guilt.

I want to see, what it means to be free
I want to know, what it feels like to just flow.

Nope.

I figure if a road has been made other people must have gone down it, right?
