That was the punishment for the original sin but through baptism we become one in the family and that sin is removed however we still are affected by that sin hence our fallen nature. The salvation which Jesus redeemed for us is ours to lose but if we remain faithful our bodies will be resurrected with our souls in the end. This is a doctrine of the Catholic faith. This is a promise that Jesus made.
John.5
[29] and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.
John.11
[24] Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
[25] Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,
Acts.1
[22] beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us -- one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection."
Acts.2
[31] he foresaw and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.
Acts.4
[2] annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
[33] And with great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.

You're sooo right. Thank God, cause my body is starting to fall apart and if I didn't get a new body in Heaven, I don't think I would last for an Eternity.

Yes I know that. Atheist here and I agree with your statement. I plan to hurry my turning to dust along, as I will be cremated when I die.
