My chihuahua is about 2 years old and I need to know how to potty train him. He also sheds fur, is there a way to stop his fur shedding?

Oh boy, if you want a non-shedding pet, get a virtual pet.

Small dogs are harder to train. You might have to look up breed specific potty training sites for help.

He will shed, but if he's shedding a lot, he may need a better food.

Try the foods at http://www.frrco.com/121668 A small bag will last your chi a while.

For potty training, visit http://www.libertydogtraining.com and click on FAQ. There you will find the info you need to potty train this dog...and you can not rely on "paper training" as this rarely, if ever, works.

Good luck!

I had a chihuahua that was about 1.5 yrs. old, and it was very easy. Get a pet carrier & place him in it every time you leave the house. He won't go in it, so take him outside as soon as you get home. Mine figured it out within a week, and afterwards went to the door when he needed to go. Don't know about the shedding. May have a skin condition, see the vet for that. Hope this helps.

Potty training should of happened 2 yrs old ago, but since it's late in the game your best bet is to crate train.

you should buy a crate ( its like a little fence) and when you see him sniffing around or rite when he wakes up or after he eats, put him in there and let him get use to that stop,...thats how i train my rott pup.
