I have 3 dogs that are in competition to make me insane over food! One is extremely picky and the only thing I have got her to eat for longer than 3 weeks straight is Royal Canin. She is highly active but doesn't need much to keep weight on. The second has itchy skin if she doesn't eat food high enough in Omega 3 & 6, but puts on weight extremely easily, despite me feeding less than recommended and substituting a cup with rice/vegetables. She will eat anything (except Lassie, which none of them will touch). The third is also very active but lean and extremely muscular. He is not picky, but eats as much as the other two combined. I'm giving up hope of finding one food to suit all 3, although this would help so we could buy in bulk. I want to feed them the best I can, but not something that will break the bank as we are averaging 120lbs a month. I can find lots of good foods online, but shipping is ridiculous.

I understand the picky dog will eat anything if she gets hungry enough, but I wouldn't like to go through life eating something I didn't like. We have ruled out Nutro (picky dog won't eat any variety, even Ultra Premium), Eukanuba (too expensive for poor ingredients), Chicken Soup (strange smell and 2 won't try it), Pro Plan (poor ingredients), Authority (made all 3 throw up), Lassie (none will even look at it), Premium Edge (picky dog won't eat it), Diamond (poor quality and I won't buy it). I won't even try them on Pedigree or anything else Purina made, I may as well pay someone to fill my yard with poop and make my dogs sick.

Yes! My dog is on timberwolf. I do see his fur change to be more shiny (due to the salmon oil in the food).

Before that, my dog was on solid gold, canidae, abady, innova, natural balance, pinnacle and canine caviar (which he is more reluctant to eat, even though I really like canine caviar because it builds up his immunity system and after feeding cc, he doesn't have any flea and ticks, and I don't believe in poisoning my dog every month with f/t applications).

There are 5? favours. More popular one will be elk and salmon. My dog gulped down his vension and lamb.

U can consider innova evo, if you want. Hear it's very popular in new zealand. It is much better quality then the green bag.

Solid gold has a grain free range, called Barking at the Moon.

Abady is the best, and also the most expensive dog food I ever give my dog.

U can consider life abundance too. It's a little known brand, that sells well by word of mouth.

Get trial packs from pet shops to try?

What about BARF diet?
BARF is the best diet that you can give your dog, but this really need alot of research on what and how much meat, veggies/fruits, and supplements to give different breeds. You also need your dewormer. I give mine natural dewormer, Natural earth (another word of mouth product from show dogs owners)

If not because my parents objected, I will give barf too.

I've heard and read a little about it, it sounds like a good dog food. I just switched to Nutro - not my first choice, but it was on my list of good foods and my overweight dog is now loosing weight and both my dogs coats are becoming really soft, so I'm happy with the Nutro. My overweight dog was on a prescription diet food from hill's, that's what made her fat. I will never again have my dogs on Hills.

If you are willing to pay for it it is a good food. There are cheaper alternatives for the same price. Costco's brand is the cheapest for the good quality. Chicken Soup and Canidae are also cheaper yet great foods.

Timberwolf is great food - good enough for humans to eat. My dog doesn't like it though, so I may as well throw money away as buy it. He does like some of the other natural dog foods, but he still prefers to eat whatever I eat (except celery).
