As of this evening, I've been alone for three agonizing years.
My last girlfriend, who I really cared for, broke up with me after meeting another guy at a New Years Party which I wasn't attending due to the fact that I was catering another New Years Party in an attempt to make some money and use it to treat her a little better by taking her to some better restuarants, etc...
At the moment, I'm 23, average looking, and work roughly 60 hours/week.
Even with this work schedule, I still volunteer at a charitable organization [where I had hoped to meet someone], and attempt to either visit a club/bar or book store at least once a week to no avail...
If you don't mind my asking, might any of you know where I might be able to find someone who might be willing to settle for someone like me...

When you go to the book store or other places, do you strike up a conversation with young women? I doubt that they are going to come looking for ya. Stick your neck out there a little and show off your great personality and good sense of humor. Just start up a conversation. The first thing you need to know is are they available. If they have no wedding ring or engagement ring then they are available. Even if they have a boy friend, they are still available until they are engaged or married. You have to talk to people and let them get to know you. Personality makes the person. Depending on your personality, you could be a 10. It's that important. Be a fun person. Be aggressive. Be confident.

I can't give you any answers, Ty, not the ones you're looking for. You won't be able to find anyone worthy of you until you realize within yourself that you're a really good person. You need a confidence boost. Women are almost always (at least in an immediate way) attracted to men with some self-confidence. 60 hours a week is a lot of work time, but it doesn't mean you cannot have a girlfriend. There are some women who, if they believe you are desperate for them, will treat you with utter disrespect and/or find it a little strange to "jump in" to a proposed date.
Be low-key. You're doing what you can. Don't be overly adoring, don't talk about commitment - these things will scare a girl off pretty quickly. There will be times to act like that when you've been with someone you love, but now is not that time. I hope I don't sound harsh. You asked an honest question and I am giving you an honest answer. I think you should consider ways to build up your self-esteem. You're way better than you think you are. Be it going to the gym, counseling or talking with a friend it is so important you do this. "Settling" is not an option, not if you'd like to experience happiness in your life.
And you're young yet! However average-looking YOU believe you are, it is your sense of self that matters most. I can say you won't find anything lasting until you can work on that more.
Best of luck.

How would you feel about a woman who would be willing to settle for someone like you? Are you sure you would even want someone like that?
You need to do something about that attitude. What's the point in attracting a woman, if you can't hold onto her afterwards. We all have our shortcomings, and there's nothing wrong with being realistic about them, but running yourself down is a big no no.
Why do you do that? What are your strong points? I don't know you well enough to say, but I do believe spending some time with a therapist is likely to be more productive than trying to find a new place to hook up.

First off you seem like a nice guy with a self esteem problem . If what you say about yourself is true you shouldnt be asking for some one to "settle" for you. Have faith get in to a church you can meet women there. Dont sell yourself short. You are a good hardworking man looking to settle down with a nice lady I dont see that as bad at all try having a little confidence in yourself guys like you are hard to find these days. And dont settle for anyone. If that one chick got mad at you its her loss shes an idiot and you can do better. Have faith you will find her one day

U sound lovely and u will meet someone u sound like a truely nice person and appear to have loads of respect for people. U could maybe cut back a few hours on the work front and join a couple of clubs etc, i wouldn't rely on clubs to meet people, in my experience not the best places. really hope u meet someone, u sound like u derserve it.

the question really is what do you enjoy doing??? what are some of your faviorte things to do on your spare time? then take a look at those things, weather its reading mountain biking, and do those things as often as you can. you will be more likely to meet a mate that way. Because if you are doing something you love and you meet another doing the same.....well there you have it! something in commen! then you can build off of that! well I hope this helps you some what! you'll find that special person!!

nicely, he's interested in you however the query is what are his intentions? whilst maximum men come at you and say your gorgeous, they probaly merely think of your appealing and merely desire to have a quite female pal or a one evening stand and thats it. If a guy liked you for who you're, he might've been a splash greater shy.

I have to be honest with you....clubs, bars are not the best place to meet people....most people at the clubs are in it for temporary satisfaction....do you have any close friends that know you enough to set you up? I was set up with my sisters husban's friend and we have been together for 9 years....some people might say go to church to find them....but that only works if you DO go to church. Try asking some of your close friends who know you and who truly will help you....word of caution though...don't let your mother set you up! Good Luck honey!

If by "at best, a 2 or 3" you mean the size she wears, I'd say you need to open your eyes to some one who is a "normal" size. Gee, you could "settle" for up to a size 8!!!!
Ok, but if you are referring to something other than size and I'm just not getting it, I'd say relax you'll find her when you least expect it!

Don't sell yourself short..."at best a 2 or 3"? Women like men who convey confidence. Remember that! Good luck sweetie!
