if she was sexually assaulted by her father the child would be her daughter first and her half sister second (she gave birth therefore she is the mother...it was her fathers child therefore her half-sister)
what a brave soul this girl was to go through such a thing..
i hope she is no longer around this person and he went to prison for a very long time for doing such a horrible thing to his own child!!!

The baby would have to be her daughter regardless of the relationship ... It's just so sad that her assailant (presumably her father) is so sick to do such a thing.

I know certain areas of the world see nothing wrong with incest per se .. but physical assault to have sex with someone isn't love even incestuously. She should report it to the authorities!

I would have thought technically both sister and daughter, but if I was you I would try not to think about it and just cherish the baby for who she is not where she came from.

If she gave birth, then she is the mother. If she shares a father with her child, then she needs to report him to the police. I would also respectfully suggest that she brings her child to a doctor and explain the situation. The doctor may need to check the childs health, and the mother may need some emotional support and if the doctor is worth his salt, he will refer her to somewhere that will provide support and understanding.

I think it would be both. It's really sad - but you need to report this to the authorities, even if you have to do it anonymously from a pay phone. This is truly wrong - and there could be medical problems that could be mis-diagnosed if they aren't honest at the doctor's office in the future.

Probably both technically (half sister, not sister though), but it would generally be considered her daughter.

Daughter/half-sister if the father did it
Daughter/neice if the brother did it
Daughter/ 2nd cousin if a cousin did it
Daughter/cousin if her uncle did it
Daughter/Aunt or if her grandad did it
Brave is what she is.

Are you saying that she was raped by her father? My God she was brave for going through with that. But I suppose it would be her half sister seeing as they both have the same Dad, thinking about it makes me cringe.
