be creative with em, try him on different vegetables and so on. for example, i dont like carrots, peas, sweetcorn or mushrooms, all the standard ones.

in a family where the old traditional vegetables are often used i wud have grown up on an unhealthy diet, but in this family i have come across many other vegetables i do like, namely spinach, broccoli, sprouts (all of which are VERY good for you anyway, mroeso than carrots, sweetcorn etc)..

look up some creative meals and try different vegetables in fun ways and im sure he'll come around :) also, consider rewarding him with say a gold star every time he eats everything on his plate..good motivation is key!

When my son was little he was a very finicky eater. I got him to eat broccoli and cauliflower by telling him they were tiny trees. He thought this was so cool he started asking if we could have the "little trees" for dinner. I also made a rule that my children had to eat a small bite of whatever I served. Example, if I served peas I would put maybe one pea on the plate and tell them they could manage that one little pea. They weren't allowed to leave the table until I saw them eat it. The next time I served peas it would be 2, then 4, and so on until they learned to like them. If after trying the peas, say 6 or 7 times and they still didn't like them then I would not force them on them. But, this worked so well that soon my kids were eating and loving vegtables of all types. With fruits, you can maybe offer a small slice of apple or banana and give him a little peanut butter to dip it in. Soon, those will be added to the list as well. Just make it a rule that he eat that one small piece and work up to a full serving gradually. Good luck!

Here's a guaranteed way to get any child to not only eat more fruit, but to beg you for it.

Cut up whatever fruits you're using, place them in a pretty dish and pour strawberry banana yogurt (it's in the dairy dept., and is delicious) over top of it.
Top it off with a little whipped cream.

I also use this as a special dessert when I have company for dinner, as most pies and cakes are too heavy after a full meal.

Then feed him strawberries and grapes and be thankful. Strawberries are high in lots of vitamins and minerals and grapes have some (though not as many ) too but will help keep him hydrated.
Be grateful you can get these into him and buy the store out.

Have only fruits and vegetables available for him around the house. He'll get hungry, he'll eat. Now for the more truthful and realistic answer... keep some of his favorite stuff stashed and use it as a reward for eating the veggies.

I saw on Rachael Ray today how she scooped out the center of a strawberry and placed chocolate in the center and baked (?) them? I would check the food network site for the exact recipe. I know my mom used to make pot roast and i hated carrots but the carrots and red potatoes with the pot roast taste was so good. Make a game out of it like eat this...tell me what it is. Try Artichokes, they are super fun to eat.

Dip! My kids would eat many things if I gave them tiny forks to use to dip the fruits and veggies. I also sometimes used cocktail toothpicks so they could spear the cut up fruit/veggies. I'd also let them make shish kabobs using steamed veggies and ham cubes or some other meats and cheeses they like.

You can make good fruit dips with yogurt or light cool whip, or veggie dips with sour cream and flavorings like ranch dip mix.

Sometimes putting cheese sauce on veggies will improve their taste. Or you can make milkshakes or smoothies with real fruit like bananas and real fruit juice. Or make pizza with tiny pieces of different veggies on it.

The more you get your kids involved with the food (letting them help you make a dish), the more they'll want to eat it.
