I have tried all types of medications. it didnt help me in any way.?

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. I was diagnosed with psoriasis at age 14 and now I am 36 years old. You can say that I have tried just about every medicine both approved by FDA and trial without much success. Some meds cause psoriasis. 20 yrs. ago while on lithium, I got full blown psorisis 7 yrs later when they changed my meds It completely disappered. I had gone through light treatments and all kinds of ointments. I was covered in what my dr. said was 75% of my body. Gradually it returned but not near as bad.

Stress is a very big problem for psoriosis. When I got a divorce , I cleared up. Now its only in my scalp!
Butr the only thing that helped me everytime is the tanning beds. I cleared 100%. But I only used them in the summer.
Dovenex is a good cream, but again each person is different.
Also, when you cut yourself it can cause a breakout.

Well, different treatments work for different people on their Psoriasis. Topical creams can work, but they tend to be rather messy. What has helped me best is treating it from bothe the inside and the outside. I have been eating foods that are high in Omega 3 fatty acids (pumpkin seeds, ground flax seed, fish, etc.) in addition to topical creams. The "p" hasn't cleared up 100% yet, but it makes a huge difference!

My brother has this and has been undergoing light therapy for years and years.
This has helped him. I was there once while he did this when we were little. I remember seeing him in his underwear underneath some sort of lamp. When we got older he would tell me it was a natural light lamp.
Apparently natural light has things in it good for the body. He also used many creams and lotions but was also a nice suntan color. He has always been very muscular when he was older and very good looking because of this light therapy or what ever it is called?

My stepfather had very good luck with coal tar shampoo. It is available over the counter at many pharmacies. some of the more popular brands are: denorex and neutrogena T/Gel.
