I have to say 2. This riddle sound familier. What throw me off is when you add "s" after father and son. I still gonna say two. Both of them are son and father. In other words they can be father and son. So whoever the father is now the grandfather. That son become the father. Something like that. It hard to explain. I hope I am right.
