I work part time as a cashier...so having a voice is something that i need....and it needs to be better than what i have. i just don't want to have them trying to find someone to work.

They know that i've lost my voice, because i was in there earlier today.
i work in a smaller grocery store so everyone knows everyone.....and the lady in charge of my department was there and she knows...and told me "man you sound aweful"

Definitely, go in. Presenting yourself at the job site demonstrates your interest in working. If your boss is there (or Mgr.), tell them you want to work but can't make your throat (vocal chords?) worse. Would they have other work you might do for the day, or should you go home and nurse your throat? Give your fearless leader the option. They'll notice that you didn't just bail like anyone else.

I'd call in sick right now, advise you're manager that you are loosing you're voice, tell them that if you feel better in the morning that you'll come in, but was afraid not to make the call tonight in case you can't speak in the morning, they should make a note of it in case you don't make it.

i lost my voice last night too! but it's back now somewhat. mine was just 24 hours and annoying. but i would call in just incase and let them know what the deal is, so theyre not left hanging. have fun trying to get them to hear you HAHA

go to work if it that bad go home and stay home on thursday. if it gets better than you are still at work
