I am thinking about growing dreeds how do you start them? are thay easy to keep up, how long is you'er hair?

dreads do require some work. first of all, you gotta have long enough hair. (at least 3 inches) then, its good to get some supplies you need for them. you need a special shampoo, and some other stuff to keep them up. this site below will give you all the info for taking care, products for them, and different methods for growing them (go with the comb-back method, i tried others with some really crappy results). i've had my dreads for about 2 years, and since your hair actually grows in knots, they dont grow very fast. probably only an inch/inch and a half a year.

I don't have dreads, but i think people who have them don't brush their hair after they wash it. It keeps getting more tangled until it forms a dread

nah....i have dread falls though. they look great.

you start by not washing your hair.


i have a recipe for temp dreads that can be washed out (if washed vigirously)...dont brush your hair for a while. mix sugar in your hair in each sepreate dread, twist, then tease it. do that to each one. looks real after dried depending on how dark ur hair is
