when it bites squirt it with water to startle it
if that doesn't work slap (not abusive way) him on the nose and say no bite

My puppy bites a lot too...I was told that the best way to stop him is to get him playing with other puppies, perhaps in a socialization class. They learn from biting and being bitten by each other that it hurts.

Depends what kind of dog but if its a puppy it will slowly stop get it a doggy toy that it might like got to a pet shop with your dog and see if it finds one it likes then let it chew it away if it likes a cupple buy them all so it wont get bored with one. If u see it chewing something it not suppose to tell it no do not smack it just say NO. in a furm voice also have that toy it suppose to chew in your hand and give it to them.

try saying no or bad girl/boy when he bites you ... also maybe your dog's teething if he or she is a puppy and needs something to chew on

put on a glove next time you are playing- get it wet and cover it in pepper, next time he bites, let him bite the glove...he'll break teh habit soon
also squirting water in the face during biting, or sternly saying (not yelling) say NO

never hit your dog on the nose you can damage them for life. the take 21 pennies place in clean empty soda can tape closed can, when dog is out of line, shake can hard, and in a stern voice say no bad dog.

get a water gun and when it bits squirt it and if that does nt work roll up newspaper and just tap it on the nose and say firmly or in a deap voice NO BITTIN
