(Hebrews 5:8-9) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
(Heb 5:9) And being made perfect, he became the author of = = ETERNAL SALVATION = = unto all them that obey him;
Perhaps you should Also Read = Romans 8 and then ask the Question Again?
By the Way you cannot loose your Eternal Salvaton! YET if you Wrongly Believed [John 7:38-39] THEN you are Not Saved in the first Place!
Thanks, RR

If a person is truly "saved", that is, their Salvation is assured, then they are saved for all eternity.
All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. Those become of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. These are those of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven
No one of The True Christian Faith will ever turn from God. All of The Faith will have weak moments along the path of their Faith.... and some my slip back a bit.... But... no one who Knows The Truth will ever be out of God's sight. And God's mercy and grace will always be theirs. Once God grants Salvation it is His promise forever.

I believe that once a person exercises saving faith in Jesus Christ, he or she is forever in the family of God. God never kicks anyone our of his forever family. A number of Scripture passages support this view. For example, in 1 Corinthians 12:13 we are told that at the moment of salvation the Holy Spirit places us in the body of Christ. Once we are infused into the body of Christ, we are never excised from the body. In fact, Ephesians 1:12 and 4:30 indicate that at the moment of believing in Jesus Christ for salvation, we are permanently "sealed" by the Holy Spirit. At that point, we are God's everlasting property. That seal guarantees that we'll make it to heaven.
Moreover, we read in John 10:28-30 that it is the Father's purpose to keep us secure despite anything that might happen once we have trusted in Christ. Nothing can snatch us out of His hands. God's plans cannot be thwarted (Isaiah 14:24). Further, Romans 8:29-30 portrays an unbroken chain that spans from the predestination of believers to their glorification in heaven.
Another fact we need to keep in mind is that Christ regularly prays for each Christian (Hewbews 7:25). With Jesus interceding for us, we are sucure. (His prayers are always answered!)
Of course, the fact that a believer is secure in his salvation does not mean he is free to sin. If the Christian sins and remains in that sin, Scripture says that God will discipline him or her just as a father disciplines his children (see Hebrews 12:7-11).

If it were my salvation, I wouled lose it. Howeveer it is God-s salvation. He is the one who saved me. First, He knew me before the foundaiton of the world. That is when He planned to have Christ die for my sins. Then He arranged to have people talk to me about Christ, and He sent His Holy Spirit to win my heart to Himself. Jesus said "He who comes to me i wil in no wise cast out" (John 7:37). I came to Him, so He will not cast me out. He also said that nobody or nothing could take me out of His hand. So there is no question of losing the salvation He has given me. It is a loving relationship with Him, not something I have earned or deserved.

when Reason "awoke" me, I became truly saved by the Truth
....and ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free...
according to religious pundits, I am "lost" or an apostate
I feel I have been saved from stupidy, blind ignorance, manipulation, Lemming's Syndrome,
Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil Monkey business
and being saved is when you begin to reach out in love to others and clearly tell them the truth about the fairy tale of christianity and the con man Paul of the New Testament
Jesus never advocated Paul's teachings, you had to trust Paul
Jesus' deciples all rejected and fought Paul on his pagan/mystic/judaic twist
the real deal is to still Love your neighbor, not Hate as Paul introduced

On a personal note I would fear the loss of My Father.
John 15:1-10 - we can be in Jesus (a branch on the vine), and then if we don't bear fruit, are cut off, wither up and die. Paul makes this absolutely clear in Rom. 11:20-23.
John 17:12 - we can be given to Jesus by the Father (predestined to grace) and yet not stay with Jesus, like Judas.
John 6:37 - those who continue to come to Jesus He won't cast out. But it's a continuous, ongoing action. We can leave Jesus and He will allow this because He respects our freewill.
John 6:39 - Jesus will not lose those the Father gives Him, but we can fall away, like Judas. God allows us not to persevere.
John 6:40 - everyone who sees the Son and believes means the person "continues" to believe. By continuing to believe, the person will persevere and will be raised up. Belief also includes obedience, which is more than an intellectual belief in God.
John 6:44 - Jesus says no one can come to me unless the Father "draws" him. This "drawing" is an ongoing process.
John 10:27-28 - when Jesus says, "no one shall snatch them out of my hands," He does not mean we can't leave His hands. We can choose to walk away from Him.
Rev. 2:4-5 – Jesus tells the Ephesians that they abandoned the love they had at first and have fallen. Jesus warns them to repent and do the works they did at first, otherwise He will remove their lampstand (their awaited place in heaven).
Rev. 3:4 - in Sardis, Jesus explained that some people received the white garment and soiled it with sin.
Rev. 3:5 - Jesus says whoever conquers will not be blotted out of the book of life (see Exodus 32:33). This means that we can be blotted out of the book of life. We can have salvation, and then lose salvation by our choice.
Rev. 3:11 - Jesus says to hold fast to what we have, so that no one may seize our crown. Jesus teaches us that we can have the crown of salvation and lose it.

WEll if you are arminian or Methodist, you can loose it, but if you are Calvinist, it canot be lost, there are scriptures to back up both sides of the story. My favorite is the scriptures that talk about myname being written in the Lambs book of life. I know God just can't erase them, because nowhere does it say he will erase them, so i can't see how it can be lost.

Don't care. Salvation is overrated. Plus kissing someone's *** for eternity is not really much better than being bored for eternity in an oven.
