Hi
It could be kennel cough and an over the counter cough syrup I use is tussin dm for my dogs. It can last for weeks and sounds horrible. I always take mine the vets because they usually need an antibiotic to get over this. Hope this helps.

It's probably Kennel Cough, or Bordatella. Even if a dog has had a Bordatella vaccine, it takes an initial vaccine, and a booster, and a really 10 days after THAT,before the animal has enough immunity. Secondary infections from it can be very serious, even life-threatening if not treated by a veterinarian with antibiotics. If it's something other than Kennel Cough, a vet can diagnose. Either way, your dog needs to see a vet asap.

It sounds like Kennel Cough, my dog just had it 2 months ago! Take your dog to the vet they will give it antibotics it will take about 1-2 weeks to totally be cleared, but dont wait, it can progress into something more serious, so just be safe and have your dog checked out! Also dont get nervous it may seem like your dog will stop breathing cause its coughing so hard but, its just like when we get sick and cant stop coughing. Good luck!

Why would there be a bone stuck in her throat? If there's a possibility of something lodged in her trachea, best get her to a vet.
Other reasons for coughing: kennel cough, worms, heart disease, lung disease, heartworms, pneumonia, bronchitis, pancreatitis, allergies, tonsillitis or even a fungal infection (just to name a few).
You don't say what kind of dog. Could it be a collapsing trachea? Your best bet is to get the dog to the vet for a check up.

Take her to the vet ASAP. Sounds like she may have kennel cough. The vet will prescribe antibiotics. Don't give any human meds without first checking with your vet.

She could be choking on something. The best thing to do is to get her to a vet right away, just in case she does have something lodged in there, they can get it out. Good Luck!
