mathematically 5 of a kind is less probable so you should use that.. However most casinos don't use wild cards so this would only be at your home game. At your home game you can play with whatever rules people agree on pretty much..

I used to play with some people who had rules set up that a 5 of a kind was the best hand, but if you had a straight flush without using any wild cards then that is the best hand..

Personally I'm against using wild cards because it creates too much confusion.

Even playing with a wild card you cannot call 5 of a kind as that is NOT a possibility in the rules of poker,so a straight-flush beats 4 of a kind !!

If a straight flush is natural, in that it has no wild cards, it will beat a 5 of a kind. A 5 of a kind is only possible if you allow wild cards, and you'd need to specify your number of wild cards to get your numbers right. If you're playing pregnant 3's it becomes a lot easier to make either hand. Let's say you're playing a game called Lucky Deuce Showdown (which probably exists somewhere). Every player gets five face up cards and 2s are wild. Real simple. There are 624 natural ways to deal four of a kind, but as we agree, only 40 ways to deal a straight flush..

definite. 5-of-a-form will become the terrific available hand. As a house rule, my acquaintances and that i play that a organic royal flush beats 5-of-a-form... nonetheless that's not the time-honored. (We positioned that rule in place because of the fact it exceeded off in a hand - a organic royal flush replaced into overwhelmed via 3 of a form + 2 wilds. We theory that replaced into infrequently easy (how many cases on your existence are you gonna pull a royal flush?), so we positioned that rule in our video games.)

Have you ever heard of a five of a king? No it's counted as 4 of a kind with a the highest kicker Aces would have a king kicker kings and under would be an ace kicker. Royal is the Best possible hand.

Most common house rules say wild cards have equal standing. Royal beats all hands even if it contains a "willdie". But check your house rules.
5 of a kind is relatively weak when playing wildies.
