My sister has this, hers gets real bad! Only so far found on her chest and face but only get real bad when she is stressed or anxious.
My brother has the skin condition that is all over his body and is scaly and looks real bad, he does not wear shorts nor short sleeved shirts. Gets flaring when stress or anxious.
I have epilepsy. all these conditions I have read are all related to stress and anxiety.
Not the greatest thing to have (any of these) and does run in families.

Yeah its a psychosomatic reaction to stress/anxiety. Treat the hives but then try to tackle the root of your stress/anxiety.
