I am getting married 9/15/07 and I was having the same issue. I decided on burgundy and ivory. I think September is such a good time because it is in between summer and fall. You could really use any colors, don't feel limited to fall colors. I think pink and brown would be really pretty too, it kinda mixes the seasons.

Gold, Chocolate, Ivory Cream, Burgundy, Royal Blue, Emerald Green - If you think of a Victorian Christmas card the colors are all there - all brimming and jewel toned - And look great by candle light - if using candle light-be sure to get the battery powered candles now while they are 1/2 off most everywhere since most places no longer allow live flame. Good Luck!

That is so cool! I got married this past September and we had a Renaissance wedding and it was outside. I used Rich, Bold colors like Navy blue and Purple and Red, colors like that! These colors are so pretty since its not to hot and not cold in September.
Please what ever you do, do not use pastel colors.

My wedding was in September and we had a dark plum color. It was beautiful. I think dark red and crimson would be beautiful. Anything dark, that's what I think of when I think September wedding. Plus, it adds more drama and elegance. Good luck, have fun!

my brother got married at the end of September.
They had the bridesmaids wear dark green blazers and a bronze skirt
For their decorations they bought those fake leaves with colors of red, orange and yellow all around banisters and chairs and that. For their center pieces they had wooden weaved boxes with dried wheat, apples and walnuts.
It was really nice.
Red sounds like a great color, that was their original idea, till they found the green blazers.
Congrats!

champange is the best color ever, it matches all flower colors and looks absolutely fab on anyone....I just saw one that had an ivory border on the top, was strapless...looked great but won't over show the bride....(you don't want that...lol), really it's a classy color and a bit different than the norm that would be expected,
also, jsut as a hint, if you are on a budget, you can get em much less costly on line at a variety of places...then just get someone to "fit" them if need be...hope it helps..happy wedding!!!!

Find out what flowers are in bloom and use that as a guide. that way you can be sure everything blends--of course, if you go w/ crimson, roses are always available but that can get expensive,
I was married at the end of July ('05) and did periwinkle blue and wanted blue hydrangeas (in memory of my grandma) for flowers but they were very hard to find at that time of year. We had some, but they were for accent only--not the main flower. Out of season for my part of country meant more expensive to get!!!
Maybe you should consult the people who will be doing your flowers and then pick the main color, then get invitations picked out--oh, you're going to have so much fun!!!!

Whatever color your heart desires.. after all? Your the bride!
But I think autumn colors, 'woods nymph style' gowns that are crisp apple red, fawn browns,gold-ish yellow, maybe one in a fresh green...
carrying dark twig woven baskets filled with daisies, eucyliptus,
and a autumn rainbow ribbon.
And the wedding outside.. in a area with lots of young white birch trees, filled with fairy lights, and get married just at dusk..
but that is me! lol

I had a burgundy wedding, and it was beautiful. Even my dress has colour in it. It was a Bonny #243.
On the other hand, I wouldn't really let the season dictate your choices. Go with colours and themes that you truly love, and your wedding day will be spectacular.

Pretty fall colors. Purple, crimson, orange...are you getting married in a church, or outdoors? If you are getting married outside in the fall, having leaves and pretty colors to blend with them would be a great idea. Have a great wedding! <;
