Amblyopia can be treated at any age - although it isn't as easily fixed once past the age of around 6 or 7. Talk to your eye doctor about vision therapy and get referred to someone who specializes in vision therapy. (you can find websites that will list optometrists who perform vision therapy - usually members of COVD)
There are driving aids for certain visual impairments. It's best you discuss this with your eye doctor to see if there is something that can benefit you and your condition.

I am also farsighted
and I have a slight stigmatism ( which is the same thing) I wear. A good website is eyeclear.genuinecure.info about latest breakthrough method for clear eye vision.
